ABC Greater Houston Excellence in Construction Awards

On October 26, Associated Builders and Contractors of Greater Houston (ABC) recognized Karsten Interior Services for their work on Broadstone Tortilla Factory and 600 N. Shepherd at the Excellence in Construction Awards (EIC), which showcased forty-three projects built by ABC Greater Houston members that were rigorously judged on an array of criteria such as: safety, quality, ingenuity, and workmanship.

The projects were evaluated by  local owners, architects, and engineers on safety, execution of design, craftmanship, attention to detail, installation, and other considerations. Karsten received top honors and proudly accepted two ICE Awards. Broadstone Tortilla Factory with Alliance Residential won in the Other Specialty Construction category, beating out two other competitors. 600 N. Shepherd (also known as M-K-T) with Harvey Builders won the Finish Exterior Category and was also nominated for ‘Best of Houston’.

“ABC members are renowned for their dedication to safety and excellence in the construction field, and the awards program demonstrated that commitment,” said Russell Hamley, President of Associated Builders and Contractors of Greater Houston. “It’s always a privilege to see how our members are working to promote safe, ethical, and profitable work within their businesses and on their jobsites. Karsten Interior Services represents the best of the best in Houston and are more than deserving of this award.”

This event, established in 2000, recognizes outstanding projects in the commercial and industrial construction industry.
